Matvision wins 2023 EIT Jumpstarter Competition
We’re excited to kick off our blog series on waste management, sorting, and technology with some fantastic news: Matvision has emerged victorious in the prestigious EIT Jumpstarter competition, specifically in the RawMaterials category!
Our commitment to sorting, waste management, metal valorization, and the integration of artificial intelligence into these processes has been the foundation of our participation in the competition. The recognition from the EIT Jumpstarter jury underscores the significance of our mission and the potential of our innovative approach.
This recognition is the result of the hard work of the entire Matvision ecosystem starting with our team, our industrial partners and the valorisation officer from University of Liège. We are also immensely grateful for the brilliant minds we’ve encountered along the way. From fellow startup entrepreneurs like Apixmed, LabsArena, and MineView, whom we met during the training sessions, to the inspiring pitch by Farid Singh of Startup Wise Guys, the journey has been enriched by the vibrant entrepreneurial community. Armed with a Master's in Engineering from ULiège, my professional journey spans over six years as an R&D Engineer at the GeMMe laboratory. During this time, I actively collaborated with the recycling industry, evaluating various technologies to improve recycling practices.
My expertise in sensor-based sorting has propelled me into the dynamic realms of #sensors, #robotics, #recycling, #rawmaterials, and #circulareconomy.
