Matvision at Ecomondo 2025

Matvision was proud to take part in Ecomondo 2025, one of Europe’s foremost trade fairs for the circular economy and ecological transition. Held from November 4th to 7th, the event brought together leading innovators, industrial actors, and thought leaders, a perfect stage for our mission-driven technology.

Showcasing smart sorting for the circular economy

At Ecomondo, Matvision presented its advanced multi-sensor sorting solutions, powered by AI and robotics. These systems allow for real-time characterization of waste streams, precise detection of pollutants, and high-throughput sorting of metals, plastics, and complex material mixes, all in one pass.

This demonstration clearly aligned with Ecomondo’s focus on resource efficiency and circular economy technology.

Engaging with the environmental innovation community

Our presence at Ecomondo offered a valuable opportunity to exchange with sustainability experts, recyclers, policymakers, and other tech providers. We participated in discussions around environmental monitoring, material recovery, and industry decarbonization, helping to position Matvision as a key player in the future of circular resource management.

Highlighting our role in research and industrial adoption

As a spin-off from the University of Liège (ULiège), Matvision leverages deep R&D expertise from the GeMMe lab. We emphasized how our multi-sensor sorting platform  enables the sorting of up to 20 different material types in a single processing pass
This capability is highly relevant for recyclers dealing with heterogeneous industrial waste streams, as it boosts both recovery rates and material purity.

Reinforcing our mission through collaboration

Participation in Ecomondo strengthened Matvision’s commitment to supporting a greener industrial future. The company continues to work toward reducing waste, enhancing the recovery of valuable materials and contributing to greater resource independence through more efficient recycling processes. The event further confirmed the importance of innovation and collaboration in building a more sustainable industry.

Matvision leaves Ecomondo 2025 inspired and energized by the connections made, the insights shared and the momentum created. The team is motivated to continue developing cutting-edge sorting solutions and to support partners across Europe in achieving their environmental and circular economy goals.
